Hello! I'm Kirsty, and I was born and raised in the bustling city of Tokyo, Japan. From a young age, I was always intrigued by how things were made and the effects of materials on our health and the environment. That curiosity stayed with me as I grew up, but it wasn’t until I moved to the United States, settling in Portland, Oregon, that I realized the full impact of these materials on our everyday lives.
I was attending university, working hard toward a degree, when I stumbled upon some alarming research about microplastics—tiny, harmful particles that find their way into our food, our water, and our bodies. And what shocked me even more was how common items like plastic cutting boards contribute to this invisible threat. It was a wake-up call. I couldn’t sit back and ignore the problem, so I made a tough decision: I dropped out of university to pursue something that truly matters to me—creating safer, healthier alternatives.
That’s how my journey into stainless steel cutting boards began. I wanted to design a product that’s not only durable and efficient but also free from toxic chemicals and microplastics. Stainless steel offers a cleaner, longer-lasting solution that protects both your health and the environment.
As an underdog, I’ve faced challenges and setbacks along the way, but I’m passionate about making a difference. This isn't just about selling cutting boards—it's about creating a healthier, more sustainable future for all of us.
